Arrived in Akron 😊

I have arrived in Akron! The flight was good and the plane was full of people headed to the convention. The airlines didn't even lose my luggage. It's been a good day. Everyone has been friendly since we arrived. Our national committee woman picked us up from the airport and took us on a tour around downtown Cleveland. There were lots of police and a few demonstrators. The city looks clean and beautiful. The RNC chose a great location, a city with history 😊

I'll update you with more tomorrow.

Have you heard that the RNC has a way for you to help shape our Republican Platform from the convenience of your own home?
This is what they have posted on the website

The Republican Platform is a statement of who we are and what we believe as a Party. Every four years, at the Republican National Convention, delegates gather to update the Platform to address the current challenges we face as a country. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be part of this critical process, which is why we want to hear from you. Tell us what issues are most important to you and why:
Please visit the website and share your thoughts
I look forward to representing Benton County and Oregon in the 2016 National Delegate Convention
Thank you for your votes and for your support!

Committees are the engines of the Republican Party. People on a committee analyze things, make decisions, make recommendations, and make meetings go more smoothly.
People who participate in committees have a much greater influence on the ultimate results than people who just show up at a meeting.
