The Benton County Dennis Richardson
for
Governor Campaign Committee
cordially invites
you
to our first
Dennis Richardson for Governor
Campaign
event of election year 2014!
Saturday January 11, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm
Oregon State University
Corvallis, Oregon
MU-206 Asian/Asian-Pacific Room
County leadership and PCPs from Benton, Lane, Lincoln, Linn and Polk counties
along with Republican students from OSU, the University of Oregon and all
others interested are being invited.
There has been a strong level of interest in attending from everyone
contacted so far. There is space for 50 people in the MU-206 room.
We are wondering if a larger room should be scheduled and, if this
become necessary, the new location will be posted as soon as available.
Our preliminary Agenda looks like this:
2:00 pm Attendees are welcomed
2:07 pm County leadership and PCPs are recognized and welcomed
by County
2:12 pm Rep. Dennis Richardson is introduced
2:15 pm Dennis Richardson speaks
2:35 pm written questions collected from audience and presented
to Dennis Richardson
2:50 pm 10 min. break
3:00 pm an Issues Discussion Panel chaired by Dennis Richardson.
Knowledgeable, issues-experienced Discussion Panel participants are now
being invited. As soon participation is confirmed their names will be posted.
Our idea is for participants to discuss possibly
five issues with the format of a 10 min. panel discussion + 5 min.
including audience per issue.
Issues impacting Oregon’s future (comments and further suggestions are welcome)
for discussion so far include:
1. Environment and the economy
2. National health care and limited government
3. Urban growth boundaries and private land use rights
4. Government surveillance/war on terror and
individual freedom/personal rights
5. PERS and balancing Oregon's budget
6. Value of college education in getting jobs and cost of school.
4:30 pm Meet & greet/one-on-one time/small group discussions
5:00 pm Adjournment
Please RSVP as soon as possible to
Glenda Baker (glenda@stanbaker.com).
We sincerely hope you can join us for this exciting event!
